Services : Commercial Analysis

In addition to being the premier resource for all types of housing research, Maxfield Research Inc. has developed sophisticated analysis systems for commercial development. They have identified the characteristics that
provide the basis for analysis across market structures. These systems allow us the ability to determine and guide our clients in successful
commercial development.

Our practice in the commercial marketplace includes demand studies for office/industrial parks, retail, and redevelopment studies for communities intending to attract new development. These studies are designed to meet specific
objectives; they typically include a review of industrial land absorption,
competitive review of office buildings and retail centers (vacancy, lease rates, tenant types), community growth patterns, and local and regional economic trends. Whatever the issue, our understanding of this segment of the market ensures a sound planning program.

Maxfield Research Inc. has conducted numerous land use and redevelopment studies, ranging from small neighborhood projects to larger-scale “master-plans” for area revitalization. Working closely with community agencies, land planning consultants, architects, and other specialists, we have helped to design practical frameworks for a variety of mixed-use developments.

As is the case in all of the fields in which we practice, our land use research is not confined to statistical data, but also investigates the human factor, employing interviews, surveys, and other attitudinal research tools. This primary
information maximizes our client’s ability to implement programs that will best meet the area’s needs.
