The City of Minneapolis hired Maxfield Research to analyze current industrial employment and land uses, and provide the City with a clear policy direction for future industrial land use and industrial employment policies in the City of Minneapolis. The study presented background information and technical documentation compiled during the course of the study.
The study highlights the demand and supply sides of the market for industrial land and industrial employment, as well as presenting an employment analysis. The supply analyzes the current amount of industrial land, the quality and type of existing properties, and current zoning policy, along with providing information on the current direction of the industrial land market, identifying opportunities to increase the number and quality of employment, and giving a recommendation for a clear policy for the City.
